Shortages
The Air Conditioning Industry is seeing very high enquiries and orders for Installing Cooling in the Home, this has lead to Product and material shortages across the Indusry and its very unlikely to slow anytime soon.
Air Conditioning Units from all major suppliers are limited and shortages are expected throughout August until at least the end of September and possibly beyond, not only is the UK suffering the Heat, but across Europe which has severley impacted shortages. along with this key components such as pipework ducts that are installed to protect and give better appearance are almost impossible to obtain – there are alternatives but asthetics are key to any Installations.
The shortages are not isolated and have occured over the past few years, ways to mitigate the shortages is to plan ahead, dont wait until next summer in 2027 to consider installing, get it designed, costed and ordered in good time to save any delay.

- Alpha Innovation (Immergas Italy) its actually a Midea Air Conditioning Unit which many UK Companies have also done and rebranded
- We will be looking very closely at other Brands and reviewing the data to obtain the best products possible

F-Gas Category 1 Training has been completed at Ellis Training in Hertfordshire, we now await the Certification to allow us to register with REFCOM which will allow us to Install, Service, Maintain Air Conditioning System.
You must have your own qualifications to work on equipment containing F gas, even if you work for someone else.
It is against the law to work with F gas if you do not have the correct qualifications. You could receive a civil penalty for breaking the law.
Stationary refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump (RACHP) systems qualifications
For RACHP systems you must have qualifications to:
- install new systems
- service and maintain systems
- check for leaks
- recover gases
- decommission and dispose of old systems
- work on refrigerated trucks over 3.5 tonnes
- work on refrigerated trailers made to be towed by trucks or trailers
You need a:
- category 1 certificate to carry out all activities
- category 2 certificate to install, maintain, service and recover refrigerant from systems containing less than 3kg of F gas, or less than 6kg of F gas if hermetically sealed
- category 3 certificate to recover refrigerant from systems that contain less than 3kg of F gas, or less than 6kg of F gas if hermetically sealed
- category 4 certificate to check equipment for leaks if you do not break into the refrigeration circuit
You must have a qualification as an individual from one of these accredited organisations (or an equivalent qualification that a European Union (EU) member state recognises):
